Notifications
Notifications are one of the integral thing in using device. We would like to know if the consignment or package was tampered with, temperature excursions in consignment. Box opening events for consignment or movement from one place to another. Notifications system would notify the user whenever these events are recorded.

When and how are notifications sent?Notifications are sent only if there is a problem with the consignment. There are two ways in which the notifications are being sent, via SMS and email. User can opt for which kind of notification he wants to receive. For receiving SMS the contact number must be added in My Profile
section. For email, the email address of the account is used.

How can user get notifications?There are two levels in enabling notifications for user:
The group admin checking the SMS and email checkboxes, present in group settings.
The user checking the SMS and email checkboxes, in
My Profile
section.
Users will be able to get notifications only if the corresponding checkboxes are checked in both places. Missing any of these two places would lead to the user not receiving notifications for the consignment that has violations or warnings.

What are the notifications that user would get?User would get notifications of violations of 5 types of events which are temperature, box opening (light), shock, battery, and geofence. The user would also get warnings of 2 events, which is temperature and battery.
When the user has turned on notifications via SMS and email, they would be receiving notifications if the temperature goes above or below the maximum and minimum temperature set for the package or shipment.
If the package or shipment is opened, they would get box-opening events notification.
If the package detects a shock due to mishandling, they would get shock events notifications.
If the package or shipment goes out of the geofence that’s set while creating the consignment, they would get a geofence notification.

Temperature Violation and WarningThe user would get temperature event notification when the temperature inside consignment exceeds the maximum temperature or the minimum temperature mentioned while adding the consignment.
The user would get temperature warning notification when the temperature inside consignment is approaching the maximum temperature or the minimum temperature set while adding the consignment.

Battery Violations and WarningThe user would get battery violation notification when the battery of the device present in the consignment goes below 10%.
The user would get battery warning notification either via SMS or email when the battery of the device present in the consignment goes below 25%.

Light, Shock and Geofence ViolationThe user would get a light, shock, and geofence event when the consignment is opened, or tampered with or when the consignment moves out of the geofence set while adding the consignment.
