Overview#

Kelvin asset tracking system consists of a device (hardware) and the web portal (software application). Together these function as a system that can track the location of a consignment without human intervention and provide near real time information including, but not limited to:

  • Location
  • Temperature
  • Light
  • Shock & Movement
  • Battery

This system supports Kelvin range of devices:

This manual is divided into two parts.

  1. Using the portal to assign devices to consignments, monitor
  2. Managing the portal access and other settings

Before Use#

Before Kelvin device is placed inside an asset for tracking, please ensure the following:

  1. The device should be fully charged.

  2. The device should be placed at least for an hour in an environment having a temperature range the same as that of the consignment/asset in which the device is going to be placed.

  3. The device details and consignment details should be created and paired with each other via the Kelvin web application.

  4. The device should be powered on by pressing the power on switch on the device. The yellow LED on the device should be glowing.
